A truly international night of football at the Dracs

A truly international night of football at the Dracs
On Saturday 12th September 2026, Cardiff Draconians were delighted to host a special fixture between the crew of the Logos Hope Ship and Emmanuel FC.
Currently docked in Cardiff Bay, Logos Hope welcomes up to a million visitors each year, sharing knowledge, help and hope with people around the world as the ship visits ports for 1-3 weeks at a time.
Having sailed for a week from the Faroe Islands, the crew were more than ready to stretch their legs – and what better way to do it than a game of football.
With players representing countries from all around the globe, the match had a truly international feel.
A big thank you to Cardiff Draconians for kindly making the pitch available, allowing the Logos Hope Crew to take on Emmanuel FC, the football team from Emmanuel Baptist Church on Gabalfa Avenue.
Emmanuel FC play in the Welsh Churches football league and have been great friends of the Draconians for many years.
It was fantastic
